Certification introduction
Natural Resources Canada (NRCan) is a government agency in Canada that oversees and enforces energy efficiency regulations—the regulations set requirements for minimum energy consumption performance levels for various energy-consuming products, label energy-consuming products, and collect energy use data.
All regulated products imported into Canada for sale or lease or transferred from the manufacturing province to another region (trans-provincial transportation) should meet the energy efficiency standards set by the Energy Efficiency Regulations. Therefore, Natural Resources Canada stipulates that all regulated products must obtain energy efficiency verification marks from certification bodies recognized by the Canadian Standards Council (SCC).
Applicable product range
Washing machines, clothes dryers, dry cleaning machines, dishwashers, refrigerators, ice machines, air conditioners, three-phase induction motors, lamps, televisions, power supplies, gas water heaters, fuel water heaters, gas heaters, gas fireplaces, etc.
Battery charging products enter the Canadian market after June 13, 2019. Please comply with Canada ’s mandatory NRCan certification and online submission. At the same time, subsequent certification bodies will conduct annual market sampling inspections, with a sampling rate of approximately 1% Basic model.
The requirements and control scope of the following 7 types of products regarding the "Minimum Energy Efficiency Standards" have been enhanced:

New requirements are proposed for the following product minimum energy efficiency standards and reporting matters:
Electronic product standby energy consumption
-Audio products
-TV, monitor, etc.
-Video playback products
External power supply
Digital TV adapter
Electric boiler
Single stereo air conditioner and heat pump
Mandatory directives for manufacturers and importers
All manufacturers and importers must follow the directive to ensure that the products produced and imported meet the minimum energy efficiency standards required by the directive. Manufacturers and importers should pass the test of an accredited third-party certification body to obtain a compliance report and certificate.
ANATEL certification is a mandatory certification for telecommunications equipment or related equipment by the Brazilian National Telecommunications Administration (Agência Nacional de Telecomunica??es), including wireless communication equipment, wired communication equipment and related auxiliary equipment; this certification ensures that telecommunications equipment sold in the Brazilian market meets Brazil\'s technical standards and regulatory requirements, and guarantees the product\'s quality requirements such as radio frequency, electrical safety, electromagnetic compatibility, and electromagnetic exposure. If the product entering Brazil does not complete ANATEL certification, it may face fines, seizures, and other penalties.
COC certification in Algeria is a mandatory certification for products exported to Algeria, ensuring that the products comply with the country\'s safety, quality, and technical standards. The certification process includes document review, product testing, and factory inspection. Products that pass certification can be legally sold in the local market, protecting consumer interests and promoting fair trade.
GCC certification is the abbreviation for Gulf Cooperation Council certification, which is a mandatory certification requirement for products entering the market in Saudi Arabia and other countries in the Gulf region.
